 Indonesia cigarette production drops 20%

JAKARTA -GAPPRI, the Indonesia cigarette association said total kretek production reached 80 billion pieces for the first 6 months of 1998. This is a 20% decrease from 100 billion for the same period in 1997. Cigarette production in Indonesia in 1998 is projected to reach 170 billion, a decline of 15% from 200 billion cigarettes in 1997.
