At the recent World Tobacco exhibition in Hyderabad, one local company took full advantage of the opportunity to stand out and be counted. Hitkari Group, Established in 1896, comprises Hitkari Multifilters Ltd., India’s number one producer of top quality filter rods, and Hitkari Trading Corporation are exclusive business partners with various leading companies, and Hitkari’s booth was an impressive exercise in marketing savvy and customer service-oriented marketing.
“The Hitkari stand was one of the best stalls in the exhibition and also the most crowded one,” said Hitkari Groups’ c.e.o. Arun Hitkari.
“The painting of Marilyn Monroe provided a nice human touch at this stand, bubbling with bonhomie with the visit of so many cheerful people.”
Despite the fact that a number of overseas colleagues were unable to attend the vent due to the suspension of flights from Europe due to the volcanic ash cloud, Hitkari Group presented its visitors with a complete range of goods and services.
The group represents a number of prestigious international companies in India, Nepal and the UAE, including: Daicel (filter tow); Kaymich (gluing and flavoring systems); Arkote (knives); Max Schlatterer (esband tapes); G.D. Spa (cigarette and packing machines); Schweitzer Mauduit (PDM/PPI); Boegli-Gravures S.A. (embossing and printing dyes) and Godrej (glycerine and casings).
Hitkari Group hosted a well-attended cocktail party during the show. Despite the fact that co-hosts Tobacco Technology Inc (TTI) were unable to attend due to the flight disruptions, Arun and his team, including the gracious Debbie Hitkari, entertained guests in high style.
