OMAN
Since June 15, 100% tax on tobacco, alcohol, energy drinks, and pork meat is levied in Oman.
The Omani government expects new taxes to generate about OMR100 million (US$260 million) annually. The country had delayed the introduction of the taxes by at least 18 months.
